

Frances "Fran" June Russell 85, of Dunedin, Florida, has departed this life peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer's on Sunday, October 30, 2016. She was preceded in death by her beloved pet "Bo". She was born to Anthony E. Pavlik and Genevieve M. Pavlik on October 6, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois. Fran graduated from Fenger High School in Chicago, Illinois. Fran was a secretary to a Judge in Chicago and lived in many states before relocating to Florida, where she continued her secretary career to the President of GTE before retiring. In life, Fran always enjoyed her friends and family. We will all remember her caring, kindness, and sense of humor. In her younger years, she was a passionate tennis player which she received numerous awards and ribbons. She loved reading a good book, ballroom dancing, traveling and exploring new places, and was a member of the Silver Sneakers until her illness overcame her. Fran is survived by her three daughters: Nancy Walker of Cleawater, Florida; Linda Walker of Fishers Indiana; Roberta "Bobbie" Walker of Encinitas, California; and son and daughter-in-law, Ben "Russ" and Cheryl Russell of Dunedin, Florida. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chase House, Angelia Pierson, and Randi and Doug Kraenzlein; great-grandchildren, Felicia Pierson, Veronica Pierson, Matthew Pierson, Jordan Kraenzlein, and Dylan Kraenzlein; many great-great grandbabies; as well as her adorable pets, Cody and Sushi. The family would like to send a sincere thanks to Harbourwood Rehab and Nursing home for the last two months of her life, and also Suncoast Hospice for providing exceptional caring staff at her home and the nursing home, making Fran's last few days with us comfortable and pain-free. They are truly Gods angels on earth. There will be graveside service on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 11 AM, and directly after, a celebration of her life, at 2271 Republic Dr. Dunedin, Florida 34698.
