Gene E. Kent

Gene E. Kent, 87, of Clearwater, passed away April 1, 2010 at home in his sleep. He was born in Toledo, OH and moved here in 2000 from Bervort Lake, MI, where he lived for over 40 years. He owned a hotel and resort in St. Ignase, MI. He earned his law degree, did tax work and was a township supervisor for Bervort Township, MI. Gene was a veteran of the Navy, USCG and a master pilot with the merchant marines. He loved visiting with all his neighbors at the Kalmia building where he lived. He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Elsie Elizabeth Kent and survived by his daughter and her husband, Barbara and William Martin and granddaughter, Kelsey Elizabeth Martin, who he was very proud of and he loved to follow her in soccer. Visitation will be Tuesday at the funeral home, 693 S. Belcher Rd, Clearwater, 2:00PM till service time at 4:00PM. Arrangements under the direction of Moss Feaster Funeral Home, Clearwater, FL.
