

Guy Patrick Kunnen “GP” passed away January 7, 2024. Born in Clearwater, Florida, he was a true Florida native who loved fishing, boating and spending quality time with his friends and family. He graduated from Clearwater High School and was a well-known real estate broker and associate with his company, Southwest Real Estate and General Contractor with his company, Southern Home Improvements. He was fundamental in the development of multiple family owned commercial properties in Clearwater- Clearwater 19 Commerce Center and Space Center, Inc. He was incredibly giving to others from delivering turkeys on Thanksgiving Day to helping start the Make a Difference Fishing Tournament, over 28 years ago, for participants with special needs where every angler receives fishing gear and a day of fun with other anglers. He was deeply loved by the community in Clearwater and will be terribly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Rachele Kunnen; step sons, Gavin Hasler and Dylan Nunn; siblings, Frank "Chip" Kunnen of Dunedin (wife Anita Kunnen), John Kunnen, Dennis Kunnen of Clearwater (wife Bernadette Kunnen), Michael Kunnen of Dunedin (wife Jenifer Kunnen), Laura "Candi" Lyons of Dunedin (Husband Doug Lyons), Bill Kunnen of Tarpon Springs
He has 14 nieces and nephews and was Godfather to his nephew, Kevin Kunnen.
A visitation for GP will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, Florida 33759. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 on Friday, January 26, 2024 at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, 820 Jasmine Way, Clearwater, Florida 33756. He will be laid to rest at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, Florida 33759.
A “last call” will be held immediately following the visitation on Thursday, January 25th until 10:30 pm, at Capogna’s Dugout, 1653 Gulf to Bay Blvd, Clearwater, Florida 33755
A celebration of life will immediately follow the graveside service on Friday, January 26th, at Marina Cantina, 25 Causeway Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33767.
