91, died Dec. 24, 2015. Mr. Davis was the son of Walter Scott and Florence Mowrey Davis. He served 3 years in the Pacific with the U.S. Navy in World War II. He is survived by his wife, Darla Vogel Davis, Palm Harbor; daughter and son-in law, Darlene and Mark Parvin in Pinellas Park; daughter Deborah Davis Zibolsky of Milwaukee, WI; brothers, Gerald Shipp of Chambersburg, PA and Norman Davis of Greencastle, PA; two sisters, Pearl Melius and Helen Oberholzer, both of Hagerstown, MD; and two brothers, Carl Davis of Greenscastle, PA and James Scott Davis of Waynesboro, PA preceded him in death. Mr. Davis was active in tennis all his life and served as a USTA tennis official for many years. Mr. Davis retired from the U.S. State Department, Washington DC, in 1980. Since retirement he has resided in Hilton Head Island, SC, Pinehurst, NC, and currently Palm Harbor FL. Harold was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Harold valued his Vogel – Davis – Shipp - Melius families. He enjoyed golf, and was the “number 1” fan of the Atlanta Braves, the Washington Redskins, and the Florida State “Noles”!
