Jim Schelling, 76, died June 2, 2021 with his wife, Paula, of nearly 45 years by his side. He was active in his church as a Eucharistic Minister and volunteered with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at Light of Christ Catholic Church.
He spent many years as a Scout Master for his son, John’s, Boy Scout Troop and as a soccer coach for his daughter, Sarah’s, various teams. He enjoyed spending time with his family on camping trips and relaxing on Clearwater Beach. He loved traveling the world and in his later years particularly enjoyed cruising with his wife and friends. Jim supported his favorite football teams, The Chicago Bears and USF Bulls, in good times and bad.
He will be greatly missed by his family.
A memorial mass will be held on June 11th at 10 am at Light of Christ Catholic Church in Clearwater. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Society of St. Vincent de Paul:
