On March 30, 2012 our world forever changed with the passing of our dear beloved James E. Waggoner. He passed on peacefully at Bay Pines VA Hospital. He suddenly became ill at his Pinellas Park home on March 20, 2012 and was admitted to the hospital. Mr. Waggoner was born on June 28, 1928 to Willie Reginald and Avril Waggoner. He was born in Terral, Oklahoma where he grew up as a child and young adult.
After graduating High School he joined the United States Air Force and was later transferred to Tampa at MacDill Air Force Base. He had hopes that he would make a lifelong career with the Air Force until his tragic automobile accident in 1955. He married Valerie Queipo in 1952 and had his daughter Victoria Lynn in 1954. He lost his wife Val in December 1955. Mr. Waggoner had served a total of 8 years in the Air Force and changed his career path to working at Adcock Buick in St. Petersburg along with selling real estate for a short time. He retired from Adcock Buick after 18 years of service.
His marriage to Sheryl came much later after he was diagnosed with cancer.
Jim became a cancer survivor and went into remission in 2002 and had been in remission ever since. Jim lived at a community living facility during his cancer illness and thereafter. He and Sheryl built a home in Pinellas Park and Jim lived those precious last years in his own home once again.
He traveled to and from Oklahoma and took many trips abroad. He enjoyed fishing and his boat. He loved a nice manicured lawn with pretty flowers. He enjoyed taking photographs of nature, flowers, family, friends and places he visited. He was an avid reader, enjoyed watching sports and he was an OU Sooner fan always rooting for the Boomer Sooners. He enjoyed listening to classical and easy listening music. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Waggoner was a devoted Christian. He was one of the most honest human beings on this earth. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved animals, especially horses and dogs. He sang in the choir at Largo Baptist Church. He loved the moon and stars. Jim gave to many charities in his lifetime. He was very frugal yet generous at the same time. He was always smiling and lit up the room he entered with his nice smile. His favorite quote: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.
Mr. Waggoner was preceded in his death by his two brothers, Willie Reginald and Bobby Lee who passed as a child. Mr. Waggoner is survived by his wife Sheryl; his daughter Victoria Lynn Aurswald and son-in-law Richard Aurswald both of Clearwater, Florida; his two grandsons Joshua and newlywed wife Maureen Aurswald of Seminole and Jeremy Aurswald of Tampa, Florida; nephew Gerry Waggoner; niece Debby and her husband Dave along with their children Kyle an Kaci; and sister-in-law Shirley Waggoner.

A chapel service will be held April 4th at 10:00 a.m. at the Moss Feaster Belcher Road Chapel in Clearwater, Florida with a graveside service at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, Florida.
