John David Polys of Palm Harbor, Florida passed on peacefully in his sleep on Sept 19, 2015 at the age of 67. He was born to John Lawrence Polys and Charlesetta Mattingly Polys in Kirkwood, Missouri on Dec 19, 1947. One of twelve children, he graduated from Vianney High School in 1966 and Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri in 1970 with a degree in business. He was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was married to Daphne Sterrett Killhour from 1971-1999, living in York, Devon, and Washington Boro Pennsylvania raising a family and working in the paper and printing industry. He was a member and leader of the York Jaycees. He moved to Florida in 2008. He enjoyed golf, genealogy, and music. He is survived by siblings: Marion, Marjorie, Joe, and Dennis Polys; his three sons and their spouses: Nicholas (Katherine), Joshua (Amelia) and Samuel (Mackensie) Polys, and his grandchildren Jesse, Ida, Mabel and Pablo Polys. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 am Saturday, October 24 at St Gerard Majella Parish Church 1969 Dougherty Ferry Rd., Kirkwood, Mo.
