December 11, 1983 – February 19, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joshua Shane Larkin, a beloved husband, caring father, and firefighter, who left this world far too soon.
Joshua was a devoted husband to Mandy, sharing 18 beautiful years of marriage filled with love, and laughter. Together, they built a life rich in cherished memories, raising two wonderful children, Brian (13) and Adalyn (9), who were the light and joy of his life.
Josh found true joy in spending time outdoors, especially on camping trips with his family and their beloved dogs — Moose, Willow, and Mugsley. Whether gathered around a campfire, paddleboarding or kayaking, these moments in nature were where his heart felt most at peace. His infectious laugh filled his family with the purest joy.
Speaking to his caring spirit he began his career at the age of 15 working in the veterinary field while pursuing his true-life passion and goal of becoming a firefighter. For 17 years, Josh served his community as a firefighter EMT, demonstrating courage, selflessness, and a deep commitment to protecting others.
He is survived by his faithfully loving wife, Mandy, his beloved children, Brian and Adalyn who lovingly knew him as “Shooby-Doowah; his grandmother Shirlee Larkin; his parents, Karen Larkin and Christopher Mason; his siblings, Jacob and Jessica; and friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
A small private gathering of close friends and family to honor and celebrate Joshua’s life will be held.
Remember me when I am gone
But not with sorrow, pain or grief
Think of me as a turning leaf
That in the winter falls from its branch
To be born again in spring
And live forever in your heart
-Christine Currah
His love, strength, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Rest easy, our LOVE — you will never be forgotten.
