Larry Ray Roark, 70, of Tampa, Florida passed away April 24th 2021 at AdventHealth Carrollwood. Born in Chicago, IL on January 16th, 1951, he graduated from Stagg High School and received his undergraduate and masters degrees from Loyola University Chicago. He resided in the Chicagoland area until 2005, when the family moved to Tampa, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents Ray Roark and Dorothy “Terry” Hansen. Larry is survived by his wife of 46 years Josephine “Jo”; his sons Neal, Patrick, Michael, and Ryan; and his grandson Colter. Larry was known for his Irish charm, kind eyes and caring heart. He excelled in his career as a claims adjuster and loved nature, history and his ham radio. The most important thing to Larry was his family and they will miss him deeply. They will always remember him as a devoted husband and proud father who always had his son’s backs. He will be laid to rest in private services on Wednesday April 28th, 2021 at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
