Lavon "Teddi" Peterson, 74, of Clearwater,FL passed away peacefully on Oct. 7, 2018. Teddi was born in Evansville, IN but was raised in Fairfield, IL. She married our Father, Gerald, Dec. 31, 1964. Our Mother/Wife was a warm, soft hearted individual with a little fiestyness. Mom would always tell you like it is. We loved her for that. Mom was always there when you needed her. Putting her children first above herself many times. Teddi retired from Baycare where she spent several years in posting. She loved her job and was very good at it. Countless times, if someone had an insurance question, she almost always had an answer. Our Mom was one of the strongest women you will ever meet. Raising two children, being a military wife and also having a career. She always had a smile and her laughter could melt away any negative feeling or moment. She was caring, strict when necessary, and the most loving Mom you could ever ask for. She loved being with her family, watching her soaps and Sunday football. Like our Father, the one thing that defined her most was her strength. She too was a fighter to the end. It was a very sad day Jan. 5, 2015. We were told the dreadful news that she had Alzheimers. Mom did not let this slow her down and through the stages that tried to slowly take her soul, she always could give you a glimmer of the woman that used to be there. Lavon is survived by her loving Son Johnny Peterson, Daughter Stacy Peterson, Daughter in Law Donita Peterson, Brothers Bill and Danny as well as a Granddaughter and Great Granddaughter. You will always be loved and never forgotten. Your journey may be over, but we know that we will be together one day. You and Dad are finally together again. Rest in peace Mom. You are always watching over us.
