It is with great sadness that the family of Leonard Taylor announce his passing on Monday February 19, 2018. Leonard will be sadly missed by his three surviving children Lenny, Susan, and David, his sister Bunny and his seven grandchildren. Leonard was born in Allen’s Creek, Virginia on November 28, 1925 into a family of eight brothers and sisters. He took on the responsibilities of eldest son from an early age. He married his wife of 53 years, Marion, after four years of service in the Navy as a Baker 3rd class. Marion and Leonard raised 5 children together before retiring to Florida and raising three of their grandchildren.
If you knew Leonard, then you already know he was one of the good ones. He was someone who always did the right thing. He was dependable, hardworking, patient, generous and kind. He would do anything for his family without complaint. He left a lasting impression on everybody he left behind and we will all think of him often. Though he is gone from this life the lessons and love he shared with his family and friends will not be forgotten. We will think of him often and miss him dearly. A celebration of Leonard’s life will be held on Tuesday February 27, 2017 at 11 am with service at noon.
