Lorraine Steele, 92, passed away quietly Sunday, January 29, 2017 at home. She had been cared for by her family and the wonderful caregivers who treated her with such kindness and respect. She was born November 13, 1924 in Chicago to the late Thomas and Marie Vale. She lived in Chicago and the surrounding area with her family until 1991. As of fall of that year, she resided in Safety Harbor, FL. Lorr was loved by all who knew her. To her children’s friends she was ‘Mom’ and to her granddaughter’s friends she was ‘Grandma’. She treated everyone with kindness and respect and in turn, she was treated the same. We will all carry her in our hearts and in doing so she will always be with us. She is survived by her daughter Marcy & her partner Danny as well as her granddaughter Kim & her husband David. You are welcome to join them in a celebration of her life on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at Sylvan Abbey Methodist Church in Clearwater, FL. Lorraine loved pink, and flowers would be wonderful. In lieu of flowers, donations to Suncoast Hospice would also be appreciated.
