

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maj-Britt Norberg, who was born on June 9, 1939. and passed away on September 1, 2024 surrounded by family. A sweet, funny, and stubborn Swede, Mai-Britt left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Maj-Britt was predeceased by her beloved husband, Stanley Helmer Norberg, her father, Hedge Soderlund, and her mother, Karin Soderlund. She is survived and dearly missed by her brother-in-law, Gordon Norberg, and her sisters-in-law, Martha Norberg and Shirley Norberg along with 17 Nieces and Nephews.
Born and raised in Sweden, Maj-Britt bravely immigrated to the United States at the younger age of 19 in 1957. She went on to marry the love of her life, Stanley Helmer Norberg, in 1961. This union provided the cornerstone of the Norberg family, a legacy that will forever be cherished and remembered.
Maj-Britt was a faithful attendee of the First Christian Church and a member of the Red Hatters Club.
Her love for her Swedish heritage was also reflected in her delicious menus including Swedish Meatballs, Potatiskorv, kringlor (kinkers) wearing her wardrobe full of her favorite color, blue. She was known for her enjoyment of playing games, including Hands and Foot, Phase Ten, and Mexican Train.
Among her greatest accomplishments, Maj-Britt was proud Aunt to 17 nieces and nephews. Her love for family was evident, and she was a compass guiding them through life. She was blessed to have 3 angels here on Earth named Lori, Cindy and Jeanette, her nieces who lovingly and faithfully cared for her in her later years. Maj-Britt's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A memorial service fro Maj-Britt will be held on September 21, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park & Funeral Home. All family and friends are welcome to join and commemorate a life well lived.
Maj-Britt's fun-loving spirit, unwavering determination, and steadfast love for her family will always be remembered. She was so dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
