

Marie Frances Kelly, 83, of Harrisburg, PA and currently residing in Palm Harbor, FL passed away on Friday November 6, 2015 at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, Florida. Marie was born December 25, 1931 in Harrisburg, PA. She was the eldest child of Alfred and Mary Pfeiffer. She grew up in Brooklyn , NY where she graduated top of her class at Grover Cleveland High School and also excelled at the City College of the State University of New York where she studied Secretarial Professional Development. She worked as a legal secretary to the senior partner of Clark, Carr & Ellis on Wall Street for many years before enjoying motherhood. On July 23, 1961 Marie married her beloved husband Thomas F. Kelly and soon after welcomed the births of Alison Marie and Terence David whom she devoted her entire life in assuring their success with her relentless support and encouragement as well as unconditional love for her seven grandchildren. While juggling motherhood , Marie worked as a secretary in the admissions department at Huntington Hospital on weekends, followed by secretary in the guidance office at Walt Whitman High School in Huntington Station, NY. As her children grew older, she worked as senior secretary to the Director of Planning and Program Development at the Board of Cooperative Educational Services III (BOCES III) in Dix Hills, NY from 1974-1982. From 1982 until her retirement in 1990, Marie worked at Hazeltine Corporation in Greenlawn, NY as legal assistant senior patent law secretary. Marie was intensely responsible, devoted and selfless in her career as she was in every other area of her life and was loved by her co- workers whom she kept in close touch with after her retirement. Marie is survived by her husband of 54 years, Tom, her daughter Alison and her son Terence, her grandsons TK and Alex, and her granddaughters Catherine, Victoria, Kelsey, Blair and Marielle, sister Patricia, brother Al, 2 nieces, and 1 nephew and oh so many dear friends that are too numerous to name. Funeral services to be held at a later date when her family can all be together.
