

Michael Carleton Rausch was born April 30, 1954 in Denver, Colorado. He is survived by five children - Nathan Rausch, Rachel (Brandon) Hurley, Jared (Sarah) Rausch, Sarah (Josh) Newman, Emilie (Rob) Shireman and grandchildren Owen Smith; Callum, Isla, and Maisie Newman, and Oliver Rausch.
Michael was born in Denver; CO but grew up in Kent, WA. He got his pilots license at the age of 16. He graduated from Kentridge High School and Washington State University. After college he worked at Adwell Corporation in Jacksonville, IL and Nickleplate Properties where he became President and CEO. He married Barbara Western in 1986 and Ruth Vaughan in 2003. Michael was engaged to Lavinia Dos Santos at the time time of his death. He also worked in South Carolina and Clearwater, FL.
He was a member of the Jacksonville Country Club where he enjoyed golfing with friends and watching his children participate on the swim team. He volunteered at the Jacksonville YMCA where his children participated in swim meets. He was a life member of the Jacksonville Art Association. He owned his own plane and was happiest flying his Cessna or fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. He enjoyed tennis and was an avid golfer. He played the guitar and enjoyed concerts. He was a remarkably intelligent man who was extremely personable and made everyone he met feel special. He will be missed.

Michael C Rausch, age 63, of Clearwater Beach, FL passed away on Tuesday January 2, 2018. Michael was born April 30, 1954 in Denver. Colorado, but grew up in Kent, WA.
