Michael William Konomos, 86, of Clearwater, Florida, passed peacefully on June 5, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Georgia Konomos; children Ginger (Kerry) Karagas, Helen Munnerlyn, and Dean Konomos; grandchildren Michael (Mila) Konomos, John (Rachel) Konomos, Georgia Munnerlyn, Hali (Kerry) Coker, and Amanda Konomos; and great grandchildren Julianna, Erik, CK, and Magenta Konomos. He is also survived by his brothers John (Marlene) Konomos and George (Jean) Konomos, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his son William Michael Konomos and his sisters, Mary Poulson and Billie Tsakonas. Michael served honorably and faithfully in the Army during the Korean War and then went on to spend over fifty years in the shoe business. He touched the lives of many people across the world in his travels, and was known by his colleagues as one of the most kind and caring men in the business. Michael enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
