Myra T Bennett

Myra (Lan) T Bennett, age 77, of Tampa, Florida passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023. Myra was born on April 26, 1946 in Binh Duong Vietnam to Kim Sa Nguyen and Thi Ba Nguyen. She is survived by her sons; Dennis (Cuong) Bennett of Tampa, Douglas Bennett of Tampa, Dale (Jeremy Beauchamp) Bennett of Tampa, Hung Nguyen of Ho Chi Minh City VN, and Phuc Nguyen of Ho Chi Minh City, VN, brother; Thai (Dao) Nguyen of Tampa, sister; Sen Nguyen Than Phu, VN, grandchildren; BeLan Nguyen, Thảo Nguyên, Liz Geandreau, Robert Bennett, Michaela Bennett, Beni Nguyen and MyRa Bennett. She is preceded in death by her Husband; William C Bennett, sons; David C Bennett and Robert W. Bennett, daughter; Ha Nguyen.

Myra was a strong, resilient, smart woman who was devoted to raising her family. She was loving, caring, and well known for her generosity. She welcomed everyone with open arms, a warm smile, and a loving embrace. She cared deeply for her family and loved being Ba Noi to Liz, Robert, Michaela, and MyRa. She loved cooking for others and would often deliver food to friends, neighbors, and family. When cooking for others at home she made sure all were fed well. In fact, if you were not paying attention to your plate and were within arm's reach to her, food magically appeared on it. She was an enthusiastic gardener and passionate about growing various fruits, vegetables, and plants. They were often her most prized possessions and she would photograph the desert rose flower blooms to share with others. She was kind and compassionate, not through obligation, but by the purity of her heart. She will be missed by all who loved her and will forever be in our hearts and memories. Myra was a member of the 101st Airborne Military Officers' Wives Club.

A visitation for Myra will be held Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759. A funeral service will occur Monday, July 10, 2023 at 9:00 am at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park and Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow.
