Patrick Romano passed away at the Baldomero Lopez State Veterans' Nursing Home on Saturday, June 16, at the age of 92. His wife, Yvette, died November 23, 2016, at 89 years old. They had been married for 68 years, but both suffered from dementia for the last 7 years.
They moved from Massachusetts to St. Petersburg, Florida, in 1956, and lived there most of their lives, raising their three children, Donna, Jane and David. The family was active in St. Jude’s Church and School.
Patrick loved fishing, gardening and golf. He retired as Assistant Director from the Pinellas County Parks Department in 1987 and traveled with Yvette all over the world. He was proud of his military service in the Army Air Force during WWII. He was a gunner in the B24 bomber.
Patrick is survived by his children, two grandchildren, one great grandchild, and his sister, Rita.
