

Ray served as a Corporal in the Marine Corps in the Pacific theater during World War II. He was a proud Marine to the end, flying the American flag in his front yard. After returning from military service, he was employed by ABC Packaging Machine Corporation, moving with the company from Quincy, Illinois to Tarpon Springs and Largo, Florida. In his 45 years with the company he served in many capacities, including draftsman, engineer, salesman and purchasing agent. He retired in 1991.
Ray married Betty Lee White on December 7, 1946. He was a devoted husband and loving father to their four daughters. He enjoyed 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, and daughters Donna (Donald) Jacobs, Shirley (Jerry) Schmidt, Leslie (Mark) Miskove, and Trudy (Shawn) McCann, as well as his sister, Norma White. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Orville Glenn, and an infant son, Bradley Ray.
Family and friends may gather on Thursday June 4, 2015 from 10 to 11 AM. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, Fl. 33759
