
Richard Francis Evans, Jr., fondly known as Dick, 93, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27th, 2025 in Clearwater, Florida, following complications from knee surgery. Dick was a strong, loving, precise, and passionate man, and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Dick was born on August 8, 1932 in Hartford, Connecticut. He met the love of his life, Connie (Constance Yeomans), at Trinity College, and they were married on January 30, 1954 in Wethersfield, Connecticut. Dick and Connie loved to sing, and sang together in church choirs and community choruses for over fifty years. Dick demonstrated his love and support every day, remaining her fiercest advocate through her battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Dick was an entrepreneur and innovator, and loved to try new things and learn new skills. He brought these skills to several corporations before starting his own company in 1981. The AdTrack Corporation set the standard for marketing support for the next 25 years.
Dick also loved the water, loved to fish and sail, and owned many motor boats over the years. Vacations at the beach ultimately became life at the beach after retirement. And most of all, Dick
was passionate about family and friends. He loved to share stories over drinks and meals.
Dick is survived by his wife of 71 years, Connie, his children Meg Evans, Chris Evans (Andrea) and Sarah Lira (Gustavo), and his nieces Beth Gurney (Ralph) and Tat Strycharz-Hays (Dan
Roman). His grandchildren are Daniel Evans (Michelle), Griffin Dunn (Kelsey), Clara Foulon (Matthew), Corey Dunn (Cody Grogan), and Sebastian Lira. His great-grandchildren are Ryan McGibbon, Jake Evans, Seth Evans, Briar Dunn, and Jane Foulon. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Evans Sr. and Margaret (Ross) Evans, by his sister, Jayne Hurley, and his nephew, Scott Hays.
A celebration of Life was held on December 3rd, 2025, at Regency Oaks Retirement Community in Clearwater, Florida. Inurnment will occur at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, in Clearwater. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
