Lambert, Richard Joseph, age 85, of Clearwater, died Friday, January 20, 2017 at Suncoast Hospice. He was born in Kankakee, IL and came to Clearwater, Florida, in 1970 from Omaha, Nebraska. He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War. Richard graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He was past president of Clearwater East Kiwanis Club, Free Clinic, Clearwater-Largo-Dunedin Insurance Agents Association and member of the Pinellas Executive Association. He was an avid gardener and loved to play tennis. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Loretta; son and daughter-in-law, James and Tamara Lambert, Mcclenny, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Michael Geer, Ketchikan, AK; and daughter, Margaret Moore, Tampa, FL.; six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
