

He was born on January 5, 1947 in Trenton, New Jersey to the late Josephine and Rizziero Cintia.
Drafted straight out of high school in 1964, he answered the call to duty with unwavering commitment, embarking on a journey that would see him proudly serve in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a true patriot and carried the spirit of service with honor and dedication throughout his life.
Robert graduated from the University of Omaha and later University of South Florida, where he obtained his master’s degree in counselling.
He enjoyed a distinguished and successful career as a drug rehabilitation counselor and social worker, making meaningful contributions to the well-being of individuals under his care.
In 1978, Robert married the love of his life Kathleen Ann Waddell, and together they wove a tapestry of love and joy, creating a remarkable legacy.
A true adventurer, he delighted in traversing the globe, reveling in the enchantment of cruises and the tranquility of getaways to the mountains in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Above all, he cherished moments spent with his family, finding the greatest joy in their shared time together.
He was a devout parishioner of Espiritu Santo Catholic Church.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Kathleen Cintia; children, Gina Vardi, Christina Bowers, Robert D. Cintia, Jr.; step-son, Carlin Davis; grandchildren, Levi Vardi, Arielle Vardi, Adrianna Bowers, Isabella Bowers, Rizzo Cinita; many extended family members and friends.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 on Friday, January 5, 2023, at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church, 2405 Philippe Pkwy, Safety Harbor, Florida 34695.
He will be laid to rest at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 5233 118th Ave N, Clearwater, Florida 33760
