Robert Charles Cook

Robert Charles Cook (Bob), age 88, of Clearwater, FL passed away Sunday, September 27, 2020 surrounded by loving family members. Born in Canton, GA July 24, 1932, he was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charner F. and Ethel Cook, his stepmother, Mattie Cook, his wife, Anne Cook, his sisters, Billie Cook and Leola Abernathy and brothers, Charner Frank Cook Jr. and Wayne Cook, his daughter, Stacey Cooper, and his beloved second wife, Pat. He is survived by his four sons- Brad Cook (Judy), Kelly Cook (Elaine), Perry Cook (Pam) and Mel Cook (Vivian), stepdaughter, Lynn Easley (Brian) and stepson, Mike Benoit. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Morgan (Michael) Jones, Christian (Kelly) Cook, Cassidy Cook, Wesley Cook, Jessica Cook, Madison Norse, Chase Norse, Corey Cook, Casey Cook, Kallie Cook, Faith Cook, Danielle Cook, Luke Cook, Paris Benoit and one great-granddaughter, Bailey Jones. Dad was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired from the Eastman Kodak Company in 1991 after many years of faithful service. After the death of his wife, Anne, Dad was married to Patricia Benoit. He spent his retirement years traveling the world with Pat and spending time with his family. Dad was known for being a talented cook, a hobby he enjoyed for his entire adult life. He was also known for his great sense of humor and ability to keep everyone laughing. He will be greatly missed as the patriarch and soul of our family. Services will be held Monday, October 5 at Sylvan Abby. A visitation for Mr. Cook will be held Monday, October 5, 2020 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm and funeral service will occur Monday, October 5, 2020 from 1:00 - 1:30 pm at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater, FL 33759. A committal service will occur Monday, October 5, 2020 from 1:30 - 2:00 pm and burial will occur at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater, FL 33759.
