Robert Scott Howland

Robert Scott Howland, age 77, of Safety Harbor, Florida passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Robert was born on March 18, 1946 in Norfolk, VA to Phyllis and John Howland. Both precede him in death. He is also preceded in death by his wife; Shirley Howland, aunt Betty and uncle Bill Purich. He is survived by his three sons; Wayne, Briane and Robert Howland Jr., grandchildren; Scott and Elie Howland and Brayden Kirkland and many other friends and relatives.

Bob enjoyed playing pool with his sons, building computers with his son Briane, and on the weekends, Bob enjoyed watching car races football.

Robert served 6 years in the Air Force reserves as a structural and pavement helper with his emphasis being in electrical maintenance. Bob served 1.5 years in South Korea with the Civil Engineers Squadron during the Korean conflict.

Bob was a graduate of State University Agricultural and Technical College at Farmingdale, NY and Pinellas Vocational and Technical Institute of Clearwater, FL. Since retiring from a fast-paced position at FedEx, Bob has enjoyed a leisurely life. He loved staying on top of current events, and especially loved following SpaceX exploration.

Bob and his wife Shirley loved traveling to England and studying their ancestry roots. Since Shirley passed away in 2005, Bob has kept his living room decorated with Christmas decorations in memory of his wife whose favorite holiday was Christmas.
