Garrick, Roberta “Bertie” Berg, 62, passed over Saturday, July 4, 2015. She was born in Grand Rapids, MN on July 16, 1952, and moved to Florida in 1971 where she met her husband. She is predeceased by her father Nels K. Berg. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Dan Garrick; children Heather and Chris Garrick; her mother Doris Berg; brothers Lawrence Burlison, Lee Burlison, Curtis Berg, Marvin Berg, Gordon Berg, Glen Berg, and Leonard Berg; and her sisters Lorraine Burlison, Norma Berg, and Ellie Berg. Bertie was an avid reader who also enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She retired as a Human Resources manager from the St. Petersburg Times after 20 years. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday July 9, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 11 a.m. until time of service. www.SylvanAbbey.com
