Rodney Keith Meyer was born on April 5, 1953 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. His parents are Jessie (deceased) and Stanley Meyer in Council Bluffs, IA. He has 1 sister Connie and David Eledge in Council Bluffs, IA and 5 brothers. Martin, Clifford, and Richard who are deceased, and Monty and Cindy in Carter Lake, IA and Douglas and Katie in Jackson, CA. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army for approximately ten years. While he was stationed at West Point, .NY, he met Lisa Chutkowski. They were married in June of 1980 in New York. They have two sons, Rodney Keith Meyer II, and Joseph Eugene Meyer. He first worked at Montrose Veteran's Hospital in Montrose, NY. Then the family relocated to Oldsmar, FL where he went to work at Bay Pines Veteran's Hospital in Bay Pines, FL as a budget analyst in the Engineering Department. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being on the water boating and fishing. He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader for 15 years of his life. Their son Rodney is married to Danielle and have 2 sons, Keith and Garrett Meyer. Their son Joseph is married to Jessica and have 1 daughter Lillian Meyer, and a second baby on the way. He battled with cancer for approximately two years.
