Rodney James Sturtz Jr., age 74, of Seminole, Florida passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Rodney was born in Toledo, OH on July 19, 1948 to Rodney Sturtz Sr and Geneva Barnhill Sturtz. His parents precede him in death. He is also preceded in death by his brothers; Paul, Joel and Johnny Sturtz. Jim is survived by his wife of 48 years; Cynthia Sturtz, his daughters; Cate Donoghue and Colleen McDonald, four sisters; Mary, Michelle, Bobbye and Suzanne, five grandchildren; Carmen Porter and Nate Wise, James, Aiden and Sean McDonald, and three great grandchildren; Liam and Chloe Ramos, and Ronin Porter.
Jim attended New Mexico State University, Central Florida Junior College (AA) and the University of South Florida. He was a member of the American Mensa organization.
Jim loved to tend to his garden. He grew vegetables, fruits, flowers, herbs and they all flourished. He also liked to read and play bridge and chess.
