

Roland H. Vincent, 90, of Palm Harbor, FL left us on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 to be at peace with his Lord. He was born on March 19, 1926 in St. Louis, MO. He grew up in Pensacola, FL and graduated from Georgia Military Academy in College Park, GA in 1944. Roland served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Battery B, 294th Field Artillery Observation Battalion.
In 1956, Roland married his loving wife, June and raised the family in Ridgewood, NJ. Later, he earned a B.S. degree in Information Systems from The University of Oklahoma. In 1981, Roland retired from RCA in Somerville, NJ where he managed their data center operations and moved to Palm Harbor. In retirement, Roland prepared tax returns and became an Enrolled Agent, and represented taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. He was also a substitute teacher at East Lake High School and Clearwater High School.
Roland was a 32nd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite Mason of Tampa. He was also a Master Mason and a member of Shriners International.
Roland enjoyed playing Bridge and Pinochle, reading, daily walks and traveling. He traveled cross-country with his wife and grandchildren in their RV and cruised extensively with June and friends. He touched all that met him in a special way. He will be missed by everyone, but will remain in our hearts forever.
Roland is survived by his twin daughters Brenda V. Halligan of Bristol, CT and Lisa V. Belaus and her husband, Matthew of East Stroudsburg, PA; grandchildren Lisa, Sarah, Kevin, Caitlin, Tim and Jon; seven nephews and five nieces, and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces. Roland is preceded in death by his loving wife, June, his son-in-law, Michael and his sister, Madelene Jaurrene Dean.
