Sam R Bonaventura, age 101, of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024. Sam was born on April, 26, 1923 in Jamestown, NY to Ventura Bonaventura and Francesca Trippi Bonaventura. He is survived by his daughters, Donna (Eric) Sutton and Sandra Mosher, his grandchildren, Sean (Geri) Brunson, Kristin (Jamie) Vidamore, Timothy Olmstead, Tracy Olmstead, and Terie Connell, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Sam was a skilled mechanic. As a child, he was interested in anything with wheels and a motor. He even had a motorbike back in the 40's he would ride around. For years, he managed a car garage and decided to go back to school and earn a degree. He taught auto mechanics at Countryside High School for 25 years until he eventually retired.
Sam always had a love for the water. He took many vacations with his family and always went to the water, whether it was a lake or an ocean. Family was his priority, Sam absolutely cherished his family and the time he got to spend with them. He had a love for life and fulfilled all of his dreams.
