She was born on March 25, 1943 in Dunkirk, New York, to the late Samuel Sapienza and Carmen (Tenamore) Sapienza.
Sandra enjoyed working with children, especially those with special needs. She was a Teacher's Aide for several years and won "Outstanding Volunteer of the Year" for 4 consecutive years. She loved the children and they loved her. After many years working as a Teacher's Assistant, Sandy then transferred to an Executive Secretary role for the School Principal. She also held positions in Assisted Living Facilities, and worked in a few Department Stores. After retiring, she spent most of her time with her Grandchildren. Sandy loved fishing, yard work, family activities, and playing the slots!
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Carmen Sapienza; her first husband, Steve I Nagy; her brother, Anthony Sapienza; her son, Steve Nagy Jr.; her grandson, Steve Brett Nagy; and, her second husband, Jack Conway.
Sandra is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Paul) Jackson, her son Alex (Rachel) Nagy, and daughter-in-law, Melissa Nagy; her brother, Samuel Sapienza and sister-in-law, Annette Sapienza; her grandchildren, Faith Jackson, Hope Jackson, Mandy Nagy, Chandler Nagy, Anthony (Courtney) Nagy, and Brittany (Angelo) Torres; and, three great grandchildren, Fox Jackson, Emma Nagy, and Oliver Nagy.
