Sarah enjoyed spending her time with her Red Hat ladies, her bowling league, several card groups and trips to Biloxi with friends. She also lived in Port Orange and had friends across the state. She was known as a fun person who encouraged others. The true love of her life was her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she had a relationship with for well over 60 years. Her greatest desire was to meet him face to face, which she accomplished finally.
Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and her son, C. Wayne Newton. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Nichols, her son, Harold Newton (wife, Deborah), her other daughter, Beverly Pope (husband, Steve) and her daughter-in-law, Diana Hooten. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Crissy Paige, Bill Newton, Sarah Tasjian, Hannah Miller, Hallie Miller, Rachel Newton, Amber Pope, Helena Pope, Laura Walling and Nate Coffin. Sarah left behind 15 great-grandchildren and various nieces and nephews to carry on her legacy.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved her and would want us to tell you she hopes to see you again because you too have developed a relationship with the Lord.
As her family, we thank you for your kindness and support to Momma and to us during this time.
