

Stephen Paul McKittrick, age 82, of Clearwater, Florida passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024. Stephen was born on January 19, 1942 in Woburn, MA to Thomas McKittrick and Rita Brown McKittrick. He grew up in Massachusetts and joined the Navy in 1959 and proudly served his country until 1965. He was a photographer for the Navy and traveled all over the world in aircraft carriers, including the USS Wasp. Stephen graduated from Merrimack College in 1969 with a Bachelor's degree. Although he left Massachusetts to settle in Florida, Stephen always maintained his love for Merrimack and Boston sports teams while he grew to love and support the local Florida teams as well. Stephen was also a fan of Notre Dame football and basketball teams. In his free time, Stephen enjoyed playing golf and going to poker rooms and casinos and took the occasional trip to Las Vegas to try his luck. He also liked to visit with friends at their favorite local restaurants.
Stephen was a family man and loved to spend time with his family. He was a devoted grandfather and provided unconditional love and comfort to his grandchildren.
Stephen leaves behind, his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia McKittrick, his daughter, Ali (Mike) Dellinger, grandchildren, Miles and Avery Dellinger, nieces, Christine Colletti, Maureen Mathieson, and Kathleen Culton, nephews, Brian Colletti, Kevin (Christi) McKittrick, Mark McKittrick, and Brian Dionne and several great nieces and nephews as well as great great nieces and nephews. Stephen is preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas and Lawrence McKittrick, sister, Brenda Colletti, sister-in-law, Carol Mullarkey, and brother-in-law, Richard Mullarkey.
There will be a funeral service held at 11:00 am for Stephen on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home (2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759) with a Celebration of Life and fellowship to follow.
