Exodus 15:13
Tereza Mashragi (née Barsom), born August 1, 1949, in Khartoum, Sudan, passed peacefully on January 7, 2026.
Tereza lived a life defined by faith, resilience, and deep love for her family. Though Sudan was always her home at heart, her life’s journey took her across Kuwait, Egypt, Canada, and the United States, where she built a life marked by perseverance, adaptability, and grace. Wherever she lived, she carried her values with her and made every place feel like home.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walsli Mashragi, with whom she shared a life rooted in commitment, sacrifice, and devotion to family.
Tereza is survived by her children, Abraham Mashragi and Nancy Mashragi, who were the center of her world and her greatest pride. She was a deeply loving grandmother to Angelina, Anthony, Anna Semone, and Theodore, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
Those who knew Tereza remember her as kind, loving, and endlessly selfless. She was resilient in the face of hardship, strong-willed, and famously stubborn, yet always guided by love and conviction. Her beautiful smile reflected a pure soul rooted in faith and compassion, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Tereza’s life was a testament to quiet strength, unwavering faith, strong resolve, and unconditional love. She gave endlessly of herself, often placing others before her own needs, and her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the love she shared.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mary and St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church in Clearwater, Florida, at 1:30 PM on Sunday.
May her memory be eternal, and may she rest in peace in the loving arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ, whom she trusted so deeply.
