Thomas Patrick Leary

Leary, Thomas P. 80, of Largo passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2011. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 8, 1930 to James and Margaret Leary and was the youngest of six children. He and Patricia moved to Largo in 1961. Tom proudly served in the Navy during the Korean War and was employed by the U.S. Department of Energy until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish, Clearwater and enjoyed caring for his dogs, Toby and Samantha. He is survived by a loving family, his wife of 56 years, Patricia; a brother, Jim (Wilma Jean); 3 daughters, Sharon Dindal (David), Sondra Halbert (Alan), Cynthia LaFray; 3 grandchildren, Timothy Dean, Christopher and Kylie Halbert; a brother-in-law, William F. Fennelly . A memorial service with military honors will be held at 10 AM, Monday, June 20, 2011 at Bay Pines National Cemetery, St. Petersburg.
