T.J. was born in Dunedin, Florida, on September 14, 1970, to Thomas J. and Joy R. Martin.
Outside of work, T.J. found joy in sports and spending time with his friends. He was an avid fan of all things Tampa Bay—cheering on the Buccaneers, the Lightning, and the Rays—as well as rooting for his childhood favorites, the Miami Dolphins and the Atlanta Braves. Family and friends will also remember him for his constant smile and his willingness to listen.
Over the last year, T.J. helped care for his father as he faced the challenges of Alzheimer’s. He supported his mother with compassion and dedication, offering patience, strength, and love during a difficult time for the family.
T.J. is survived by his daughters, Lindsey Martin and Gabrielle (Kyle) Brown; and his soon to arrive granddaughter, Lilly, who will be born in April and whose arrival he would have cherished; his mother, Joy Martin; his sister, Cheryl (Don) Fesh; and his brother, Paul (Liza) Martin. He was also deeply loved by his father, Thomas J. Martin, who passed away only weeks after T.J., a loss felt profoundly by the family.
A memorial service will be held on February 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at North Dunedin Baptist Church to honor both T.J. and his father, Thomas J. Martin. All who knew T.J. are welcome to attend and celebrate a life well lived. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) in memory of his father, Thomas J. Martin, and uncle, Lt. Col. Douglas S. Martin.
T.J. will be deeply missed, forever loved and forever remembered.
