He was born on September 20, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Fred & Beatrice (McCarthy) Seufert.
Tom boasted of a proud 40 year career with the United States Postal Service, after serving his country in the U.S. Air Force.
Though he was a bit quiet, Tom was full of thoughtful care for those he loved; and, he and his late wife, Gerry, definitely made the most of their quirky cat & mouse pairing. He loved music, always with a record on the record player, or the radio on. If he had a cigar in his hand, even better! He followed NASCAR, among other sports; and never tried an ale nor pastry he didn't love.
We miss you, Pops. Hope you & Mom are tapping your toes to the music in heaven together.
Tom was preceded in death by his daughter, Christina Matyas. Tom is survived by his son, Brian Seufert (Britany); granddaughters, Josette Colon (Hanna) and Amber Seufert; brother, Donald Seufert (Linda); sister in-law, Joanne Oldham; brother in-law, Mark Bremmer; and, his beloved nieces and nephews.
We will celebrate Tom's life with military honors at 11:00am on August 24, 2025 at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, his family invites you to make a donation in his name to the Tampa Humane Society in honor of his love for dogs.
