Valerie Ann Plachy

home to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday,

March 16, 2022 at the age of 70. Valerie was born on October 26, 1951 to

Kenneth and Rosemary Pearce (Dillion) in Detroit, Michigan.

Valerie loved spending time with people just about anywhere and

everywhere but mostly loved spending time with the love of her life, her husband

Rudy. Val and Rudy started their journey in life together 41 years ago and would

of been married 37 years on July 10th. Together they enjoyed traveling many

places here and abroad. During those times you would of found them hiking in

the mountains, diving reefs, biking trails, boating, and doing every type of fitness

activity that you can imagine. But when it came to dancing Rudy tried to keep

up yet decided his place was best on the sideline. Val also took great pleasure

in helping other women attain sobriety and peace of mind. She spent as much

time as needed to counsel, help, support or just listen to the needs of these

women.

Valerie attended the University of South Florida where she received her

Bachelors Degree in Business. Currently she was a retired employee of the City

of Pinellas Park where she worked in accounting and human resources for which

she was employed for over 25 years.

In addition to her husband Rudy, Valerie is survived by her sister-in-law;

Carol Rushton, her niece; Kimberly Heavey and her family, her nephews;

Ryan Rushton, Michael Rushton and their families. She was preceded in

death by both her parents and her son; Kenny Ellsworth.

Valerie so loved and lived John 3:16. “For God so loved the world that He

gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but

have everlasting life.” A question in one of her devotional books was “How

does the promise of heaven in God’s Word inspire you and give you hope.” As

quoted from Val, “Because I want my family and myself to be in heaven with

God. I want all people to go to heaven.” This she truly loved and lived.

A visitation for Valerie Plachy is planned from 9:30-11:00 am with a

Celebration of Life Service directly following the visitation on Saturday, March

26, 2022 at Bible Baptist Church, 280 Riviere Rd., Palm Harbor, FL. 34683.

Everyone is invited for a luncheon at the church directly following the service.
