A Celebration of Life for Vicki~
“If ever there is tomorrow when we’re not together…there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart…I’ll always be with you.” ~A.A. Milne
There was a lot of life to live—and so she did.
Vicki lived with intention, joy, and an open heart. Her spirit was one of adventure, of laughter, of unwavering love for those who crossed her life’s path. There was no journey too small or too grand—from a quiet visit with her parents in Georgia to setting sail across blue waters, chasing sunsets and stories. She was always planning the next adventure, always seeking out the magic in the everyday.
Her love for travel was so infectious, it became a part of her service beyond the hospital walls. As President of the Baycare Hospital HERO Club for traveling, Vicki made it her mission to share that sense of wonder and discovery with others—organizing experiences that brought joy, connection, and memories to so many.
Since 1981, Vicki served as a labor and delivery nurse, bringing life into the world with gentle strength and compassion. That same love she gave to so many families was poured into her own. Jojo loved her grandchildren. They were her pride and joy—the stars in her sky. She shared her love of wonder with them through vacations, trips to the Florida Aquarium, cruises, beach days, mountain adventures, and all the little in-between moments that become core memories.
Vicki found beauty in creation. Through her beaded jewelry and countless crafts, her legacy quite literally sparkles on. Every piece she made held a bit of her—her patience, her creativity, her joy.
She shared a love story with Larry, her husband and travel companion since even before their marriage in 1997. Together, they explored the world, soaked in life, and built a home full of warmth, laughter, and the scent of blooming flowers from her colorful patio garden. Her plants thrived just like her family—with care, attention, and love.
Vicki was a Noles fan through and through, cheering on FSU with pride. She loved a good ball game and the energy of a stadium, where every pitch and play added to the fun. She found equal joy in the stillness—watching sunsets, toes in the sand, heart at peace.
To know Vicki was to know what it meant to live fully, to love deeply, and to cherish both the quiet and the wild. Her story is woven into the lives she touched, the laughter she sparked, and the adventures still to come in her honor.
She lived a beautiful life, and oh, how she lived.
