

William Joseph Dalton passed away early Sunday morning August 25, 2019. He was 76 years old. Bill was a determined soul who fought Crohn’s his entire adult life. Alzheimer’s finally took him from us.
Bill was born in Stratford, New Jersey and was raised in Berlin and Cape May during the summer. It was in Cape May where he found his passion for fishing and boating.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Paula Christ Dalton, daughters, Christina Dalton Tobias (Noel) and Tamara Dalton Bingham (Dallas) and grandchildren, Parker Dalton Habjan, Emma Lynn Habjan and Kyle Tobias. Bill left behind many siblings, Joseph Dalton (Tillly), Robert Dalton (Nancy), Edgar Dalton (Diane), Clair Dalton, John Dalton (Carman), sister-in-law Tricia and Francis Dalton (Maureen). His brother Paul Dalton and sister Teresa Dalton have passed. Bill had many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and even a few great great nieces and nephews.
Bill worked at Honeywell Aerospace for 30 years where he used his degree in business administration from Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Captain Wild Bill or Billy, loved his many stays at the Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge where he enjoyed catching Mahi Mahi, grouper and snapper. He was a SCUBA diver and enjoyed spear fishing and harvesting lobster.
Bill was a loving husband and father who always kept us laughing. He will be missed but we know he will still be there watching over us.
