

William (Bill) Edward Hanlon of Brooksville passed away on Wednesday May 19th, 2021 after a brief battle with COVID pneumonia. He was 74 years old. Bill was born in Washington, DC. Attended Albert Einstein's Senior High School in Kensington, MD. He moved to West Virginia and held jobs as an orderly at Jackson General Hospital (Ripley, WV), WV State Road, Kaiser Aluminum and served 4 1/2 years as PFC in Army Reserves and joined Xerox as a copier repairman and worked his way up to Management of the Call Center that took him to Ohio and another move to Florida. Final job prior to retirement was Manager of Young Home Inspections. An enthusiastic Christian who loved the Lord, he served as Head Elder at Brooksville Seventh Day Adventist Church. A passionate Patriot and supporter of the Second Amendment. He also enjoyed flying and had his Pilot's License and part ownership of a Cessna Musketeer. He loved Civil and World War History. Other hobbies included skiing, scuba diving and photography. He was an avid collector of many things and loved spending time putting together his Man Cave. Bill is survived by his wife of 37 years, Judy Ann (Ellison) of Spencer, WV., brother, Jay & Donna Hanlon of Silver Springs, MD. daughters, Lori Hanlon and Crystal Hanlon Galarsa of Gainesville, FL., Candace & Jason Tarvin of Brooksville. Grandchildren, Dominique (John) Norris, Adriana Galarsa and Daniella Galarsa (Noah Mills), Haley, Jason, Brooke and Kristen. Great-Grandchildren, Remington, Champion, Jay, Mylo, Evelyn, Terran, Midas and Rose. A multitude of cousins and extended relatives, friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest E. & Hester L. (Layfield) Hanlon of Kensington, MD. His legacy will be kept alive in the hearts of all those who loved him dearly!
