William John Karner of Clearwater, Florida passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015.He was born in Chicago, Illinois to Ernest S. and Adeline (Latuszewski) Karner. He married Eileen (Ewert) on November 26, 1960.He is survived by his wife; son William R. of Clearwater, daughter Debra S. (Stephen) Reid of Clearwater; and his sisters, Nancy Cappello and Gail Jevne.Bill graduated from Steinmetz High School in 1956. He served in the United States Marine Corp. and become a Chicago Police Officer in 1961. When the family relocated to Clearwater, Florida in 1972, he joined the Clearwater Police Department.In 1974 he became a Realtor and in 2014 received “Realtor Emeritus” status from the National Association of Realtors, recognizing his 40 years of valuable and lasting contribution to the real estate profession.In lieu of flowers, donations to Suncoast Hospice are appreciated.
