William “Bill” Loucks became absent from his body to be present with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 1:20a.m. on May 14th, 2025. Born September 26th, 1938 to William & Sarah “Lois” (Canner) Loucks in Minneapolis, MN., he entered life destined to minister grace and service to family, friends and strangers alike. He fulfilled his destiny faithfully. As a faithful servant and witness, “he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord.”
He is survived by his (3) sons – Lincoln (Mabeth), Scott (Lisa), William (Tammy); sisters Elaine Amies & Nancy Higgs, - (10) grand-children, (18) great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as great-great nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Sarah “Lois” Loucks and his dear wife Joan Marie (Rhoad) Loucks.
As a model of Christian living, Bill practiced what he preached. He was a man who measured his words and always brought the name and person of the Lord into every conversation. “He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? (Micah 6:8) Bill loved the Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ and would share it with anyone who would listen. He always seemed to share just the right scripture to meet a particular need.
A visitation for Bill will be held Monday, May 26th, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater, FL 33759. A Funeral Service will start for Bill at 11:00 AM with a graveside to follow. A reception will occur immediately after the graveside.
