William Patrick O'Hanlon

William “Bill” O’Hanlon of Clearwater, Florida passed away on September 21, 2021 after a brief illness.

Bill was born in August 1956 in the Bronx, New York to Patrick and Margaret O’Hanlon, who preceded him in death. He attended schools in the Bronx and Manhattan, graduating from high school in 1974. Bill took Irish dancing lessons in his youth at which he excelled.

Bill moved with his parents to upstate New York, finding employment with the Albany County Nursing Home and rising to a supervisory position. His daughter, Caitlin, was born in 1991. While there he met and married Lillian in 2000. They were together until her passing in 2016. While living in New York, Bill became an active member of the Schenectady chapter of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and maintained ties with this group for the remainder of his life.

He retired in 2013 and moved to Clearwater, Florida. Even though he was widowed in 2016, he was not to be alone for long. He soon met and married Letecia Reyes Waldorf. Bill and Letty were very happy together, both loving singing, dancing and socializing with friends and family.

Bill was a proud member of the Saint Catherine of Sienna Knights of Columbus, rising to the Fourth Degree. He enjoyed participating in K of C activities and socializing with his brother Knights. Bill ushered at St Catherine masses. He was also a member of the VFW and Elks.

He is survived by his wife, Letty, daughter Caitlin, brother Richard and his wife, Eileen, brother Patrick, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Bill loved to sing, dance and spend time with friends and family at any kind of occasion. At events, he was many times the spark that made the gathering memorable and fun for all. He loved life, his family, his friends, and the people who knew him loved him back.

William (Bill) O'HANLON, age 65, of Clearwater, Florida passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

A visitation for Bill will be held Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sylvan Abbey - Funeral Home, 2853 SUNSET POINT RD, CLEARWATER, FL 33759.

A funeral service will occur Monday, September 27, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1955 S. Belcher Rd, Clearwater, FL 33764.
