Ramsey, William H 94, of Clearwater, and formerly of Tampa, passed away March 6, 2016. Bill is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Kate Ramsey, and daughter, Sherry Alvarez. He is survived by his son, Bill Ramsey and daughter-in-law, Cindy Ramsey; sister, Mildred Yaeger; and grandchildren, Ashley Ramsey, Tyler Ramsey, Ricky Alvarez, and Cristina LaMonte. Born and raised in Harriman, TN, Bill served in WW II as Staff Sargent in the Army Air Corp from 1939 – 1945. He moved to Miami, Florida in 1960 where he worked for Thom McAn shoes. He later moved to Tampa where he worked for and retired from JCPenney Company. He was very proud to serve as a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. A memorial service celebrating Bill’s life will be held at St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church in Tarpon Springs, FL, on Thursday, 03/10/2016 at 11:00 AM.
