Mrs. Barbara Shore Hudgens

Barbara Shore Hudgens, 74, formerly of Winston-Salem passed away on September 20, 2012 from complications due to cancer. She was born and raised in Winston-Salem, graduating in 1955 from Reynolds High School, and she was also a 1959 graduate of Converse College with a degree in church music. Barbara served many congregations as an organist and choir director. She lived in Raleigh, Fayetteville (for approximately 35 years), and she was living in Cary at the time of her death. Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter Sandra H. Seufert of Fayetteville. She is survived by her husband James E. Hudgens, Jr.; her son Jay Hudgens of Chapel Hill; her brother Carl Shore of Statesville; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. Friends may visit on Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Frank Vogler & Sons Reynolda Road Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Bethabara Moravian Church Graveyard.
