Catherine McHugh Webster

Catherine McHugh Webster, 99 of Bermuda Village in Advance, passed away at Forsyth Hospital on Wednesday, March 2nd after several months of declining health.

Catherine was born in Douglaston, L.I., N.Y. on August 30, 1911 to Francis and Agnes (Nicholson) McHugh, the third of four children. She outlived her husband Eugene, her daughter Mary, her sister Agnes, and her brothers Frank and Gerry. She is survived by her son Dennis and his wife Mary of Jamestown, R.I.

She was a loyal mother and homemaker, an earnest Christian, a volunteer with many organizations, and a lover and adopter of animals from her earliest years. She lived on Long Island until 1985 when she moved with her husband to Bermuda Village, where she lived until her death. She was lovingly cared for by the staff of Bermuda Village Catered Living for the last 2 ½ years.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church on Kinnamon Road in Clemmons on Thursday, March 10th at 10:30 A.M. She will be buried next to Eugene at Arlington National Cemetery.
