

Charlie D. Wall, Jr. died on November 17, 2011 at his home with his family by his side. He fought a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. Those who met him never forgot him. Charlie touched the lives of many people on his life’s journey, and he gave people chances as well as showing them how to succeed in their life’s journey. He was owner and operator of Wall Heating & Air Conditioning for over 36 years. A native of Winston-Salem, he graduated from Hanes High School, and was a member of Welcome Door Baptist Church in Kernersville. He was a very loyal, giving, and dedicated person to his family, friends, and customers. He was preceded in death by his father, C.D. Wall and sister, Glenda Wall. He leaves behind a loving wife of 38 years, Ann Wall; sons, Chris Wall and wife Kim, Chuck Wall and wife Kristy, Jason Wall and wife Dana; grandchildren, Ashton, Nathene, Justin, Britney; his mother, Gertrude Wall; sisters, Helen Harris, Shirley Warden, Carolyn Forester; brother, Earl Wall; and a host of special nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, and neighbors. A special thanks goes to Hospice and Palliative Care of Winston-Salem, Dr. John Holland, and special friends that helped him in a very needed time. Friends may visit on Sunday, November 20, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Frank Vogler & Sons Reynolda Road Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Welcome Door Baptist Church, 6741 Vance Road, Kernersville with entombment to follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Walkertown.
