Deborah Ann Lacey Sechrist

Born in Raleigh, NC, Debbie was a devoted and loving wife to Richard Sechrist for 41 years. She was an adoring bonus mother to her children, Lori Whitley (Matt), Ryan, and Brandon Sechrist (Karen). She was a precious and treasured “Nannie” to Jacob (Skyler), Makenzie and Tyler Whitley, Kailey and Kelsey Sechrist, Mia, Brittyn, and Charlie Sechrist. She was a caring sister to Joey Belton (Shelly) and Robert H Lacey Jr. (Brandi). She was a proud aunt to Cody Belton (Kirsten), Jackson Belton, and great aunt to Luca Belton. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard O. Sechrist, her sister Catherine L. Smith, and parents Betty H. Belton and Judge Robert H. Lacey. Her extended family and friends will remember Debbie for her kind heart and generosity to all who crossed her path.

Debbie was a retired employee of Sara Lee and spent the rest of her days loving Richard, her family, special friends, and puppies (Ollie and Kaiden). She volunteered with the MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) at Cornerstone Christian Church where she nurtured spiritual growth and fellowship with moms and children from her community. She loved crafts, projects, and snuggling with her puppies, but her passion in life was to spend time with her family and friends at the beach.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am followed by a Celebration of Life in the chapel of Vogler and Sons funeral home 2849 Middlebrook Dr, in Clemmons, NC Saturday, October 4th. Interment to follow service at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
