Dennis Edward Ford

Born on June 23, 1956, in Mecklenburg County, Dennis was the son of the late Don and Bonnie Ford. Throughout his life, he worked in the trucking industry. A music lover, Dennis enjoyed listening to a variety of artists, with the Beach Boys being one of his favorites. He had a deep love for travel, always wanted to learn how to fly, never missed watching a NASCAR race if he could help it, and was knowledgeable and passionate about cars. He loved his family fiercely, and did his best to make sure they had all they ever needed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an aunt, Rosa Putnam.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Susan Ford; son, Justin Ford; daughter, Paige Ford (Josh Burns); brother, Stephen Ford (Debbie); sister, Melissa Ford; two aunts, Nancy Ford and Linda Ford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Lewisville United Methodist Church, with Pastor Paul Brown officiating.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Forsyth Medical Center Palliative Care Unit for their kind compassion and care of Dennis.
