Mr. Dennis James Simmons, Jr. 67, of Clemmons, died suddenly Sunday, April 27, 2014 at his home.
Dennis was born in Glens Falls, NY, a son to the late Dennis James Simmons, Sr. and Florence Roberts Simmons. He was a US Army veteran. On June 26, 1971 he married the love of his life, the former Frances Vera Dickerson. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Frances Vera Simmons, of the home: two daughters, Wendy Marie Parker and fiancé Joshua Lewis of Canton, GA and Denise Lynn McDaniel and her husband, Doug of Winfield, WV; grandchildren, Vanessa, Joshua and Nolan; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
